Live Brodcast

I have a full dedi server and will often run radio streams on it.
I was thinking i could run a stream of the competition live and answers listeners question via IRC or skype. Do team interviews and stuff. basically broadcast the even over the internet for all who want to listen, IE: Members who couldn't come or family.

Re: Live Brodcast

I would think it would be significantly more straightforward to use Ustream.tv where what you describe is provided already (e.g. video upload and chat room).

Re: Live Brodcast

no, just audio. I would have two streams, one informative and one probably music. But i mean, would ti be cool to have a radio broadcast at the event so people can stay informed?

Re: Live Brodcast

I can't speak for everyone, but just listening to a robot competition wouldn't be that exciting. I know for me, even just watching the competition isn't that exciting.

If effort is going to be put into streaming from events, I think that video is the way to go. Imagine commentating on all those matches!

My 2 cents,
Jacob
