We have the banebots motor from this years kit. But can we use their gearboxes?

If you are asking if you can purchase and use a gearbox from Banebots the answer is yes. BaneBots gearboxes meet the definition of COTS items and BaneBots meets the definition of a vendor so you are allowed to use as many of these gearboxes on your robot as you like provided that you account for their cost properly in your $3500 budget.
If you are asking if the BaneBots KOP gearboxes from last year's kit are legal the answer is also yes. You would have to account for this part as if it were the newer revision purchased from the BaneBots website. |
