Re: Camera Angles?
Its done in the render dialog menu (F10). At the very bottom of the menu there is a drop down menu of what camera you can render from. You can create cameras by hitting CTRL C.

Re: Camera Angles?
That of course works, but another simple way is by right clicking the name of any viewport (Top, Front, Left, Perspective) and selecting a camera in the scene. This will set that viewport to be the same camera angle that you have created earlier. This is a good way of sort of getting a look at what the final animation will look like, without actually having to fully render it from the render dialog buddy described.
Keep in mind, when you are ready to save some animation clips there are many ways to do it. In the F10 Render dialog you will have to find the output section (i think thats what it's called, i don't have max open atm) and find the Save section. You can then specify a location that the finished animation will go. Also, selecting the file type can really effect how your animation looks. You can save as an AVI or MOV but also something like PNG or JPG. Personally, I usually use PNG to save every frame separately so I can tweak stuff in photoshop (although maybe now that we get combustion I won't be doing this). Later, you can compile the images (or edited images) together again using 3ds max. A tutorial for this can probably be found in 3ds max by searching for RAM Player. Anyway, yeah, the way buddy described is a good way, or you can quickly check stuff in 3ds Max using the viewports, but be sure to do some research when you actually intend to save the final clips. |
