Memories

I was looking for a thread where people posted their favorite moments from this years regionals, but i couldn't find one, so i figured I'd start it. One of my favorite moments (besides making it to semi-finals and going to a third match and finishing the best in team history) was in i believe the second game of quarter-finals, we had placed a ball on the top of the overpass, and were trying to back up to bring our claw down so we wouldnt be touching the ball, but another team (i cant remember which one) got behind us so we couldnt get away, but pushed us forward untill, because our arm was still up, we had all for wheels off the ground, balanced on the bumper, and had gone so far back our claw had returned upward (like it is at the start of a match to fit inside the 28x38 bok) and we wernt touching the ball, so basicly the other allionce just helped us out, in an odd way, and we won the match. Oh, and just so you know, we (team 1777) were at the Kansas City regional.

I'm pretty sure that was 2334. It was an amazing moment in a weekend filled with them.

My favorite moment is when 1777 picked us during alliance selection. I still have no idea what Lawrence (our driver and captain) said when he accepted because we were all cheering too loudly. After coming in dead last in Colorado last year and not doing too much better our rookie year, we were all so happy we just about exploded. You and 2560 were great alliance partners, and we were honored to work with you. The elimination matches were a rush. We've never flown so high before.

The judges award later was the icing on an almost perfect weekend. My heart skipped a few beats when I realized who they were talking about. I've never seen our students happier or prouder than they were yesterday.
