Here is my plan for webcasting and recording the Boston Regional. Click for image showing plan. Note, we've switched from usteam.tv to a NASA feed.
Video feed gets split, runs to two laptops. One laptop runs Windows Media Encoder pushing a webcast to NASA. One laptop runs a video recording application, recording each match one by one and renaming them afterwards. My main question is: What (Windows) application should I record the video in? I'd like to record to h.264 mp4s, but I am not sure the best app to do that in. Virtual Dub and VLC are options, but what has everyone else been using? |

Re: [TBA]: Weigh-in on the Boston recording setup
I've used Virtual Dub with good results but its been a few years, so there might be something better.
This is a great setup, Can you post the specific hardware parts you are using to capture video (i.e. video splitter , video to usb converter) ? Do you have an automated script to upload the videos, or does that happen manually? |
