We have used omni's in front and traction wheels in the center and rear for three years, sometimes all driven and sometimes with the omni's not driven.

We've used the reverse pattern in both 2007 and 2008 - 2 Omnis in front, 4 Tractions in back.

Works really well. This configuration improves turning without lowering the center wheels. It will also give all the lateral traction you'll need to keep your bot in place when its being pushed side-ways.

Also, just who are you exactly? Your name contains the number 1323 which indicates that you are from MadTown Robotics. Yet your account says you are from 100.... I don't know any Bill Wethers on our team....

Your account also says your sponsor is "team 100 high"... I wasn't under the impression we were sponsoring teams...

Re: 6 wheel drive

How do you do both omnis and tractions in the back?

Neither of my teams has ever used omnis, so I couldn't tell you. The team I was on that used 6WD used the dropped-center tactic.

[edit]It gets better, Hachiban. There isn't a team registered from Fresno...and the closest teams I can find are all numbered way too high. For either. I'd say maybe 1323...
