Jailbroken Ipod Touch

Okay so this is kinda off the subject of FIRST but i recently saw a thread in which a team had downloaded scouting applications to their jailbroken ipod touches. Ive had my share of computer mess ups and I don't want to mess this up. Does anybody know how to successfully jailbrake an ipod touch? I would love a proven way so I know it works. Thanks teams!

I don't believe that jail-breaking iPods violates such rules, just please make sure this discussion doesn't turn to jail-breaking iPhones, which I believe violates copyright and terms of service.

This of course is subject to opinion, but I just want to give everyone a heads up about the rules.
