Safety animation begins on Oct 9. Due Dec 9th.
There will be an e-mail blast telling you where to register and submit the entry. Info will probably be posted at the FirstBase website: http://firstbasefrc.autodesk.com/?nd=home |

And please for all things sacred.
Use the safety animation as practice for the competition. This is a very good time to make characters, models, and other stuff that you may want to use for the animation competition. |

Here are a few other tips.
1. Talk to mentors (or experienced students) who are responsible for your team's workshop safety . 2. Try to come up with a practical idea. Explosions and ninjas might be fun to animate but they don't seem to win the safety animation award. 3. Don't worry about minor details. In 2005 & 2006 we were in a panic to make the deadline so we left out any background scenery - and we won! 4. Think about the slogan. One year it was "Care enough to act". We determined that means you should do something to change unsafe conditions or behavior. |

there is information on the side of their website that says it will be updated at the end of october.... |
