2002 Chairman's Award

I was place as the chairperson for our Chairman's Award committee, for the 2002 season. Our team has never even attempted to enter for this award before so, I was looking for some help. First off, when will they put out the guidelines for 2002? Second, any ideas on things to do to promote FIRST? Third, any ideas on the content and production of a video? I would appreciate any help I could get, thanks.

The guidelines will be in detail laid out in the rules book. Or on the web in a PDF document.

Second,
If you wanted to promote something for FIRST you would have to do that a long time ago. Maybe you can do something in your school or something. But it has to be a continuos thing all though out the year, kind of. And you can't just make it up. Also it is a good thing to put down any ties to the community, any mentoring whatsoever, and help the forming of new teams.

Third, publishing a video is an extremely hard thing, especially when you don't have the hardware, software, and the experience. But if you do have someone who can do it, it might be a shot a great looking presentation. Most first time Chairman Award team usually do a paper report. But the Chairman Award is only limited to your imagination (+ the limited time to make it)(+ the project can only have the dimensions of something like a laptop computer)(Plus it must be read by the judges in 10 minutes or less) Other than that, it is all up to you. But content, content, is the key
