Improving Solidworks Perfomance
Okey this is a Vista/Solidworks question... So if you're a computer and/or CAD wiz please make suggestions!
I've recently started using Solidworks on my laptop. I like the program, but IT'S SO SLOW!!! Everything seems to lag or jerk. I've tried lowering all the settings under the Options>Performance menu, but that doesn't seem to do much. Are there any ways I can lower the settings more? Inventor has always run just fine on my laptop, so I don't see why soldiworks should be such a strain... I'm also running Vista (yeah I know vista sucks blah blah blah, but its what I have and I can't afford/too lazy to get another OS). I've heard Vista slows things down. Anyway I can improve that? What can I change? Laptop stats: -NVIDIA GeForce 8400M -Intel Duo Core 1.83GHz -4GB of memory -HP Pavilion dv6000 |
