Truoble installing Autodesk Inventor (CAD)

Hi, I'm having trouble installing the inventor. I downloaded the 4gb file off the FIRST site from the account my mentor provided. It was in a zip file, so tried using zipgenius to install the program, but when ever it tries to finish installing, it pops up "Can't find Setup32.exe" I have no idea why it does this, or are there any alternatives that I can download this program and install it directly that's not in zip? Help me!!! thanks]

FYI: I downloaded the 64-bit version file off mozilla. Idk if this affects my install.

There are 2 ways of downloading inventor off of the Firstbase site you can uses the Autodesk download tool or you can download 4 zip folders then merge them into one file

about the 64 version only use this if your operating system is 64 bit

Re: Truoble installing Autodesk Inventor (CAD)

If you downloaded the zip files from the site not using autodesks tool, make sure you extract all 4 files and combine them into one bulk folder or files will be missing like crazy.

Personally, I went the lazy route and used the autodesk download tool and that worked much better.

Like Jeff said, unless you know you have Vista 64bit or XP X64, the 64 bit version will not run, it is as simple as that.

I will add that I have installed inventor 4 times, 3 times on one machine (2 reformats), and once on another.

The first time I installed it on the machine that has had it installed 3 different times, it crashed at the very end and I had to restart the installer. The other 2 times on this machine, and 1 time on the other machine it worked flawlessly, just keep in mind that Inventor (and its installer) are absolute beasts in required computing power so don't run anything else when you try to install them.

And try re downloading inventor (maybe use the autodesk tool)
