[FTC]: Any ideas?

So, as the season heats up and the VA regional coming up, it's time to do some guessing as to who will win it all. With overdrive gone, will another team will dominate?

Here's my thought - Since i'm in GA, I only know mostly GA teams.
- Sorry

1. Mr. Roboto and SuperPals(3). Team 3 has had strong showings for the past 2 years. Each year they've made it to finals in World...so..no doubt I expect high things from Team 3. Although they're a strong team, I once again guess that they will fall a 'tad' bit short. And by short, I mean they'll get to world, but won't win.

2. GSMST - As new as GSMST is, it's time to recognize probability in this situation. They will have 4 teams at the GA Tournament. I'm sure that at least 3 out of 4 teams will enter the finals, and simple probability leads me to believe that at least 1 team will go to world.

3. Brothers and Weasily(sorry if i murdered the name) - Last year, this team placed very high, also won a couple o' tournaments. This team is an extremely dedicated team. I expect a butt-kicking design from them, and who knows, maybe this is their year...?

4. SHIRT - These guys will once again will have a strong robot. They will breeze their way to world, and they will get into the finals, but I don't think they will reach the final round.

- NOTE: Please don't burn me if I didn't mention your name, I only put the teams who I was extremely familiar with. Also, If your team is here and you don't like what I said, I'm sorry, but it's my personal opinion.

Re: [FTC]: Any ideas?

the virginia regional is going to be intense. there will be a lot of untested bots and i am sure FIRST will have some systems failures(bluetooth). I think that it is too early to guess who is going to be top dog this year but i know for sure that there will be some bots that will do a huge puck dump into the triangle. \

Any one have ideas on whether people will dump opponents puck racks? this is going to be a major factor in the game: ground vs. rack puck pickup.

Re: [FTC]: Any ideas?

I think a major factor will be people that don't even let the pucks fall to the ground. For efficiency, but then if a robot is not prepared to suck up pucks, then a defensive tactic might be to simply drop the other team's pucks. So, it all depends.

I Think it will also be interesting to see how many racks get dumped during autonomous..

Mr. Roboto and SuperPals (FTC #3) will probably not field a team this year as the bulk of their team strength have all graduated high school. They registered to get the discount on the kit.

3 Brothers and Wesley (you definitely should apologize for the name) (FTC #710) have not registered as a returning team yet, but their school is back. I don't know what their status will be.

SHIRT (FTC #600) will always be powerful. Also, look out for the two Virginia teams (#12 and #13) as well as Team Unlimited and some surprises from St. Louis and Oregon this year.

It's going to be a fun and exciting year. Go FTC!!!

Maybe Techbrick or Twisted Bots (did Team Apollo leave?), And lookout for those New Jersey teams as well.
