Go to Post Dean's said it before, and it's been repeated many times, but it clearly hasn't sunk in yet, so I'll say really loudly. FIRST is not a science fair! - Karthik [more]

[TBA]: Video Drop Audio Quality

I'm getting some new equipment for next year (for recording and possibly webcasting) and I realized that I didn't know if the audio output from drop box was stereo or mono (I'm getting some video splitters so I won't monopolize multiple jacks on the drop box). I know this is a strange question, but maybe someone might know / would be able to see if the two channels of audio were different.

Thanks!

All of the A/V connections that I've seen at FIRST events have provided a mono feed only.

Re: [TBA]: Video Drop Audio Quality

I can also confirm that audio from the drop box is mono-only.

Re: [TBA]: Video Drop Audio Quality

its mono- only. I would have to recommend the Pinnacle Video Transfer for web video. It does a good job of taking a component connection and recording H.264 video right to a hard drive.
