Dual spoke wheel

Instead of a one set of spokes in the middle of the wheel, I have half a set on each side of the wheel. Its still possible to machine it, one side is simply the pastern on the other side rotated thirty degrees. OD is 4" and the hex on the inside is 3/8" flat to flat.

Re: Dual spoke wheel

Neat! now if you move the outer ends of the spokes more towards the center of the wheel, you'll have a reasonable copy of an old racing wheel design!

Re: Dual spoke wheel

Very nice! This is similar to our 4" tank tread wheel we developed--took a 4 lb. solid aluminum wheel and turned into just over 1 lb.
