BQR-0: Moderate to heavy use of duct tape. I believe BQR would outperform OPR as a predictor of on-field robot performance. - Nate Laverdure [more]

Which is why we always leave it blank in the book. Bottom line is that program book information needs to go to the printer before kickoff. Nasty little detail about printing lead time, etc

Right I understand that but they use the same info for distribution to announcers for the event and as a previous announcer we appreciate all extra info a team can provide.

FWTW, I believe that updates made to the team information after this deadline will still show up in the scoring system, which is where the announcer info sheets are printed from. The scoring system pulls the final event registration lists during setup for the event, and I'm fairly sure that it pulls over name information as well. So, while you might not have this info in the program book, it can still make it on the big screen and in front of the announcer.

I'm not sure if this is 100% true - it could be. I do know that some regionals have asked teams for additional info, etc the week before or on Thursday at the event so emcees and announcers would have more info. We always try to display our robot name clearly and in quotes (so it doesn't get muddled with the team name) so event folks can see it well when its on the field. However, it may be hard to see under water this year

Re: TIMS records need to be updated by TODAY

Thank you for posting this reminder. I saw it today before school started and realized we haven't chosen a robot name yet. So I called the mentor who was supposed to enter our info to TIMS and asked her about it. She completely forgot since we didn't get an email blast from FIRST like we have in past years. So I called our team captain and we had a quick 2 minute discussion about our robot's name. Then I called our mentor back and she fully updated TIMS with our current information. Thanks again for the reminder, it really saved us.

Re: TIMS records need to be updated by TODAY

Is it possible to update awards and events info?

All team 100 history and awards prior to 1998 (The first time we entered a regional) is absent.

That information is automatically entered by FIRST, and is under no control whatsoever by the teams. If you're missing previous years, you could try and contact them to sort it out.

It's probably because you weren't team 100 at the time. (Current team numbers date from 1998; before that they were reassigned every year.)

It's more likely only because FIRST has limited data from pre-1998. Team 190's page lists awards and events going all the way back to 1995
