Bridge does not connect.. help appreciated

I am the captain of team 2358 and we are having problems with step 11 under section 5.6.2

The problem is that the bridge does not connect when the web browser IP adress is navigated to...

here are the conditions under which the problem arises...
- everything up to this point has worked
- the blue ethernet cable is connected from port 1 of the driver station to port 1 of the router
- the orange ethernet cable is connected from port 2 on the driver station to the laptop port
- the bridge is powered up but not connected to anything when it comes to its ethernet port
however....
- the computer was able to navigate to the router with the IP adress of 10.23.58.4
- the computer was able to connect to the bridge through an IP adress of 10.23.58.1 when it is directly wired to a computers ethernet port
- the computer is also able to connect to the bridge when the black ethernet cable is connected from the bridge to the second ethernet port on the router
- all the settings have been configured in accordance to the manuals instructions...
- wireless benchtop setup test was tested just in case but failed... the signal from the router did not seem to be going through to the bridge..
- everything has been double checked

Any ideas... could this mean that our bridge is faulty when it comes to wireless.. i would hope not.. Can anyone shine some light on this situation

Thank you

I was helping a team friday who had similar symptoms. It turns out that their laptop auto-configured the router's wireless security. Go into the router settings and turn off all encryption.
