like a grappling hook... or in general hooks, arms. Is it illegal to grab the moon rocks with the robots I didn't see it in the rule manual...

It is legal to grab the orbit balls but be advised that your robot can never exceed 28"x38"x60" so any type of hook protruding outside that envelope will not be allowed. Hope that helps.

Also remember that any protrusion extending outside the bumper zone may be subject to more intense inspection, since they're really strict this time about staying within it.
