This post in the first of those linked threads is the one that tells you 2-3 weeks before the simulator will be available for downloading... http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...9&postcount=18
For now, keep your head down and continue designing/building your real machine.
After that is well underway, the simulator will become available, and you will be able to adjust some of the simulation parameters to line up with the gross characteristics of your real machine. You can then start playing a few matches against teammates - either just-for-fun, or for more serious analysis and practice.
