Field Connections?
What are all the conections necessary from operators interface to the field?
We checked the manual and we were only able to find power and ethernet ports needed to be available does anyone know what else we need such as competition ports? Thanks for any help. |

Re: Field Connections?
those are the only ones needed, except for the dongle, if you use a laptop for programming, you can upload the programing via wireless Ethernet using the wireless router on the robot (it shows up as a wireless internet connection), I don't know what you need for a desktop, my team uses a laptop for programing.

Re: Field Connections?
I'm nearly 100% certain that you'll only need to attach 2 cables to your DS when you place your console on the field's shelf - 1 Ethernet cable and the Competition Port (which also supplies power to the DS). Leave your dongle, power supply and DS-side router in the pits.

Re: Field Connections?
Russ is correct
Each Driver Station has a dedicated Team VLAN connection to their robot (ethernet RJ45) and a DB9 that connects to the DS competition port which provides the E-stop loop and 24 volt power for the Team's Driver Station. Just the two connections. BotBash BOB Pitzer 4FX Design |
