Help, our driver station is permanately stuck in enabled.

I don't think it's a problem with the dongle, considering the driver station is enabled even when the dongle is removed completely. Power resets haven't worked, is there any known solution besides possibly a factory reset?

Re: Help, our driver station is permanately stuck in enabled.

Your controller should disable when there is no connection detected with the dongle. A factory reset may be in order.

What I thought... and feared. I understand I'll need to reinstall the firmware onto the Driver Station, but the cRIO won't need any further modification, right?

Before you do anything you should contact FIRST or KwikByte, and ask what they suggest. The last thing you need to damage the DS because you did something you shouldn't have.

Re: Help, our driver station is permanately stuck in enabled.

That happened to ours the other day. I was having trouble getting it to communicate with the cRIO, so i set the team numbers to 0000. After that our DS locked up and wouldn't change to disable or enable, and wouldn't change to autonomous. Power cycling did not help either.

So, i went to try to redo the update. I started powering it up while holding those two arrow buttons down, and didn't even get very far, and our DS started responding normally again.
