Championship of the Americas Waitlist info

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to post/share an email sent out to all VEX Robotics team leaders:

Greetings all VEX Robotics Competition Teams,

We've got some great news to share regarding the CREATE Foundation 2009 VEX Robotics Championship of the Americas Tournament being held April 2-4 in Omaha, NE.

As can be expected with over 90 different local and regional competitions taking place around the world, a number of teams have qualified for the Championship of the Americas more than once. The CREATE Foundation has decided to open those spots, about 30 right now, to teams on the waitlist starting on Monday, Feb 2nd. If your team has not qualified for the Championship of the Americas, but would like to participate, make sure to put your team on the waitlist found here.

We are very excited that the 2009 Vex Robotics Championship of the Americas will bring so many amazing teams from so many local events together to celebrate, compete and have a another great experience. A minimum of 16 teams from the Championship of the Americas (and possibly more, depending on the final size of the event) will also qualify for the VEX Robotics World Championship being held April 30 - May 2 in Dallas, Texas.

More event details are available on the RobotEvents.com event web page. In addition, you can find more information about the Championship of the Americas Tournament along with details of other programs & competitions offered by the CREATE Foundation on the CREATE Tournament webpage.

On behalf of everyone at the CREATE Foundation along with other program partners and supporters, we look forward to seeing many of you this April.

Sincerely,

The VEX Robotics Championship of the Americas Organizing Committee
