Servo's won't power up...

I have been trying to get these servos on the camera gimbals to move for quite some time, but I cant even manage to get them power... The jumper is in place, on 9 and 10 in the PWM outputs, however, the servo's aren't moving, not even centering when the robot is turned on. I have used both the TwoColorDemo and made my own routine to move the servo's, but nothing...

Any ideas?

Re: Servo's won't power up...

We need some more info.
1)Do other things on the robot work (e.g. can you control speed controllers with the PWM outputs?)
2)Can you show us the routine you tried?
3)How's your cRIO set up, specifically are you using one or two of the digital modules/sidecars?

Re: Servo's won't power up...

Yes, motors work with the jaguars and PWM's.

I am using the default TwoColorDemo code without any changes.

We are using 1 sidecar, however, I did switch them out to see if one was faulty, and it wasnt.

Thanks again.

Re: Servo's won't power up...

Ok then, couple more diagnostic questions -
1)When you power on the robot, does the Driver Station display "No Code" where it should have battery voltage?

2)Have you tried connecting a serial cable between the cRIO and your computer to get a console? If you haven't yet, try that and see if any errors come up.

Re: Servo's won't power up...

No, it shows battery voltage. I will connect to the serial port now and post my findings.

Re: Servo's won't power up...

Finally found the problem, someone had clamped down too far on the ground wire powering the DSC, causing it to not have connection. All is well after fixing the connection.
