[FTC]: Compass Sensor Interference.
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone has used the compass sensor at competition. I'm wondering if there was a significant amount of interference from the field/speakers or if it was alright... Thankx. |

Re: [FTC]: Compass Sensor Interference.
There isn't any problem with outside interference from what we saw at the DE competition; it's the motors that cause problems. We had to raise our compass sensor on a eye-stalk-ish thing to get it to work correctly.

Re: [FTC]: Compass Sensor Interference.
HiTechnic recommends that to keep the compass atleast 6" away from motors ( I'm guessing the NXT motors ), and atleast 4" away from the NXT. I would keep it as far away as possible though, because the DC motors are bound to cast off a lot of interference.
