Can anyone help with encoders

Im trying to use encoders for traction control and I used to get values from the encoder but for some reason my code that worked before doesn't work and I dont think its an eletrical problem because the signal is getting to the digital sidecar and we tried with different encoders.

Does anyone have some code that they are sure works. If so can you upload it so I can test it.

Re: Can anyone help with encoders

Did you try the example program that comes with LabVIEW? Make sure you're A source and B source hooked up in the right ports.

Re: Can anyone help with encoders

Yes the A and B signals are labled on the back of the encoder and im sure that I have them the right way on my code.

I just tried using the example program on LabView and it didnt work.

Does it matter what type of encoder I use because we cant figure it out
