Possible confusion between competition location and shipping location
We were looking at the shipping address for the St. Louis regional and it states St. Charles. Chaifetz Arena is in St. Louis but how come the shipping address is in St. Charles?

Re: Possible confusion between competition location and shipping location
St. Louis is a Week 4 regional so they are probably shipping it to the nearest holding facility until the regional gets closer.

Re: Possible confusion between competition location and shipping location
The crates are never shipped directly to the competition site by teams. They are sent to warehouses (drayage) where they are transported en mass to the competition site just in time for the competition. Most sites don't have places to store the crates until the regional, first only has the place rented for so many days, and what one day is your pit, may have been 2 days before a basketball court used in a game.
As a side note, this is also why you pay extra for your crate being overweight, FedEx doesn't care, its the drayage company that charges you for that! |
