I love the catapult, it looks amazing. I'm worried about the score/reload time. Those appear to be 1.5" pistons (could be 2") which take a good amount of air. It would seem that you'd empty the tanks with a few shots and catapults are inherently slow. Other than that it's an amazing bot, nice work.

EDIT: Ooh, I like your release method, it's one of those "i could have thought of that" things.

I'm curious, what's the range on that catapult?

(And have you guys tossed any non-FIRST related objects. My brain wanders toward the watermelon variety...)

It's not made to do a lot of quick, rapid fire shooting, so air is not a problem. But this sucker is not slow at all, I will tell you that much. A video is soon to come too.

We were tempted to try golf balls today, but decided that is wasn't exactly safe. But you know, I think it's about time we let the cat out of the bag. This catapult easily shoots 35 ft. So we plan on getting to the outpost during autonomous, then shoot our 4 empty cells right to the corners so that our payload specialists will have the 4 super cells ready to go when they want them.

I will post a link to videos as soon as they are finished uploading.
