Match schedule / Alliance selections

How far in advance of the events are the schedules / alliance pairings released? Is it only the day before, or do they release it weeks in advance? Specifically, I am interested in Peachtree regional.

Usually, we don't get the match list (for VCU) until Friday morning when we arrive.

Historically, the earliest you would have ever gotten a match schedule is Thursday night.

This year we will make every effort to get the qualification match schedules out by mid-afternoon on Thursday.

Is this something that FIRST is trying to do at all regionals this year? Historically it has been Friday morning.

Yup. It actually started last year, when we tried to get them out before pit closing on Thursday evening. Just when they'll be put out will depend on how things are going on the field, whether there are any teams that haven't shown up yet and whether the venue has copier service.

Last year some scorekeepers had to miss lunch on Thursday in order to get them printed, but hopefully we'll be able to let them eat this year!
