Robo-Prom 2009, Final Details

Robo-Prom 2009 Final Details!

This year Robo-Prom will be held at the Omni Hotel in the CNN Center from 7:00pm-11:00pm on Thursday, April 16th.

We will be located in the Dogwood AB room located on the M1 Level of the Hotel in the North Tower.

Tickets will cost $12 pre-sale, and $16 at the door.

If you would like to pre-order please email team399@gmail.com and let me know how many people you have coming, and your team number. You can then pick up your wristbands and pay at our pit on Thursday (we're bright orange and we have a backdrop of the Emerald City from The Wizard of Oz in our pit). If you pre-order you can also just pay and pick up your wristbands at the door for the pre-order price, but we suggest picking them up at our pit to avoid a long entrance line at the event.

The cost of your ticket covers the rental of the event space, DJ, water, and punch.

We will also be having a contest for Prom King and Prom Queen! Last year our winners were wearing outfits made out of track balls! You can wear a creative outfit, have the best dance moves, or do just about anything else that stands out in order to win. We have no guidelines to winning this award!

Dress is semi-formal (cocktail dresses for girls, slacks and collared shirts for boys).

(sorry I made a new thread, apparently you can't edit your original post after a certain amount of time. . )

Expect 10-15 super-excited Dawgma people to show up...I will email you with an official number. If we are pre-ordering tickets do you need the money in advance or do we give that to you guys in ATL?

It's easiest if you just give it to us in Atlanta. Give us an email with the official count, and your team number, then when we see you in atlanta tell us your team number, and we'll check that you pre-ordered, then exchange wristbands/money.

Looking forward to seeing them! =)

We will have both of our advisors and two of our mentors there, and some other teams are bringing chaperones. So while we don't need any chaperones, if you have an adult that would like to come they should feel free to come free of charge!

Team 176 should be going. Many of our members who attended last year are excited about showing up again.

We weren't sure if we wanted to travel all the way to the Marriot, seeing as we moved to the Omni this year, but then I read the post tonight and I'm like, "Yes!!!"

I'll get numbers on Wednesday for Aces.

Can we nominate people? Perhaps a drop box at the event for nominations / votes. I'd be down for nominating Miss Libby Kamen

Re: Robo-Prom 2009, Final Details

14 girls from team 1868, The Space Cookies, will be attending. Myself and one other adult will be chaperoning. A rsvp from the team president should be coming soon.

I'm curious, what's the total number of pre-orders so far?

How many people do you expect to attend?

I believe there's only around 60 + our team pre-ordered so far (so 72), but there are lots of people with tentative preorders just waiting for official numbers.

Last year we had around 200 people at its peak, and this year we are expecting around 300 people to show up. Hopefully more. The more we get, the more fun it will be, guaranteed.

So tell your friends!!
