Nice Photo ... and congrats on getting it in the paper.

Also, glad to see you wearing your "special order" safety glasses correctly.

...but... are they legal? They look mirrored.

I know it doesn't specifically say "non-mirrored", but I think we all know the intent. It might be a good idea to get this cleared up before Atlanta. I don't think they will be allowed, and its a long way back to the pit from the field.

Stu - did you specifically wait until 10:18 to post this reply?

I've always looked at it as a safety problem if you can't see where the wearer is looking. There are certainly reflective safety glasses that are translucent enough to identify in which direction the eyes are pointing from the outside.

Re: pic: waialua359 and 359 bot

The word from an official head safety advisor at a regional I went to (after asked about it) is if you can see the person's eyes, they were allowed to be used.

Of course, your results my vary!

Re: pic: waialua359 and 359 bot

They have actually been used for the last 3 years at every event I attended. I brought it up with FIRST before I ordered it.

You can see my eyes pretty clearly on the original size photo, and they actually make the field brighter with them on. They are ANSI approved "shooting glasses."
For some reason, it matched the moon rocks when in fact there are not even that color. They are actually amber tinted.
