AndyMark 4" Dualie Omni Cart video with Kenny Beckwith
All,
We at AndyMark have been having a bit of fun with our new 4" dualie omni wheels. We fitted up a cart today, and loaded 560 pounds onto the cart before the omni wheels stopped being able to roll sideways. We were so excited that we shot this video. (Kenny Beckwith is going to be a senior on the TechnoKats Robotics Team next year - after that, he may be a professional omni cart rider) Enjoy, Andy Baker |

Re: AndyMark 4" Dualie Omni Cart video with Kenny Beckwith
You know, I was just thinking about putting an omni wheel on the back of my Razor scooter for powerslides and getting-hurt-ness. Now if only I could find one that fits the weird bearing size, is 100-110 mm and doesn't clog on asphalt.
Cool video! How easy is it to turn without pushing? I almost want to build one. :3 Last edited by Chris is me : 26-06-2009 at 19:21. |

I dig it. (I could use these on a suitcase; certainly would've been nice for beating a path through dense train stations.)
Will these be available sans bearings? |

Re: AndyMark 4" Dualie Omni Cart video with Kenny Beckwith
May I ask why the spec for the width is just (outside face to outside face)?
Overall these look awesome. I would like a pair on my bowling bag. I look forward to seeing these on some robots. |

Re: AndyMark 4" Dualie Omni Cart video with Kenny Beckwith
This is a very nice addition to the AM line-up, Andy.
A few questions: are the rollers identical to those used on other AM omniwheels? How are the roller spindles retained in the black polycarbonate wheel plates? Are the wheel plate halves held together with adhesive? |

Quote:
The rollers ride on a captured dowel pin. The wheel plate halves are held together with 6 screws, so the rollers can be replaced. Thanks for the questions, Andy |

Re: AndyMark 4" Dualie Omni Cart video with Kenny Beckwith
In case anyone wondered the same question as me, it appears that they are also offered without bearings and in a single-wide form. The dualie form seems to be significantly cheaper than buying two singles with bearings ($46 vs. $58).
