Go to Post Wisdom is knowing the difference between "the way to do things" and "the right way to do things." Just because an action may be physically possible does not mean that it is smart to do. - dlavery [more]

Re: RoboCup 2009

RoboCup has slowly progressed into a very amazing competition!

My two favorite competitions are Small Size League & Standard Platform(formerly Aibo league)

You can read the specifics on the competition website, http://www.robocup2009.org/20-0-robocup-soccer.html

Small Size League- Thailand is really advancing the technology way beyond everyone else ! Skuba & Plasma Z look really dominate in their design presentations & overall performance.

Standard Platform League - The first year with new hardware is quite painful to watch (very slow compared to the AIBOs) but I'm impressed with the number of teams & NAO technology. They don't have the official results posted, but I see UT-Austin is in the semi-finals ! B-Human (from Germany) looks to be the team to beat.
