Re: Military Robotics Research
While the idea of the robot "feeding on dead bodies" makes a nice headline for Fox news, the concept of having an herbivorous robot makes a lot of sense... I mean... why couldn't a robot lawnmower power itself using lawn trimmings? Or, I suppose... I could just get a couple sheep and implant that cybug technology into them!

Re: Military Robotics Research
If you could make it run on pollen and cat hair while you are at it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Military Robotics Research
There might be a market for a robot that eats kudzu. It would need to have a fairly long service life, though -- many states in the southern tier of the US are covered with the stuff, so a kudzu-bot might need to run continuously for several years, eating at least a ton per day, to keep up with the growth rate.

Re: Military Robotics Research
All of our robots that are more than 2 years old do a great job collecting dust. It is a bit bizarre. There were no special modifications required other than they be left alone for a couple months at a time. Best part is the dust is on the surface, so you can see what a great job they are doing at collecting all that extra dust.

Re: Military Robotics Research
I just read about this. Apparently, the part about eating dead bodies was added in by Fox News.
