You can explain how robotics can help with ocean discovery and sustainability.

The Consortium for Ocean Leadership is having their "Living on the Ocean Planet" Video Contest.

This year's theme is 'technology'. You can create a 2 minute video explaining how robotics and technology is important in ocean discovery, research, or sustainability.

Robotics will play a very important role in understanding, exploring, and protecting our oceans. This is an excellent opportunity for the students of FIRST to explain to the public why robotics is important.

The official webpage is here (There is an error in the flyer. It refers to a website www.marine-edu.org it should be www.marine-ed.org)

As a point of reference the Kell Robotics Team (1311) has a sub-program called "Applied Robotics for Marine Sustainability". You can see videos about it in the upload section here

It has been an excellent vehicle for our team to explain an application of robotics to the public. The Consortium for Ocean Leadership is challenging students everywhere to step up to the challenge.

Good Luck !!!

.
