Top Robots of 2009

So, as the season is winding down I thought that it would be nice to mention some teams that stuck out during the past 9 months of competition. So I'll start (in no particular order):

1538- Holy Cow! this was one of my favorite robots of this year. Just couldn't stop them when they were on both offense and defense.

111- Starting off with a full load of moon rocks and just about always finding a way to unload their payload into one trailer. Beautiful robot with a solid design which got them all the way to einstein.

40- This team has been one of my favorites ever since I started going to FRC competitions. Double archimedes screw with a solid shooter on the top. Definitely earned their spot in galileo!

2753- Rookie team with some prior experience in vex competitions. Win their first regional along with several other awards and almost repeat at their second regional. Beautiful and solid design and loved their robot. Made it all the way to einstein and put up quiet a battle to get their.

47(new robot at IRI)- Very nice redesign and one of the best scorers at the most prestigious off-season event in FIRST. Loved they way it performed good luck now team 51!

1114- Every year they have turned out both quality and offensive powerhouse robots. Clean design and a very accurate shooter. Team 1114 is always a team to be reckoned with.

1625-Just another amazing robot by Winnovation. Two regional wins and IRI champs. solid, effective robot.

217- Who could forget about the Thunderchickens. Human player and robot coordination was perfected over weeks of competition, and a shooter that if they pulled up next to your trailer it was lights out.

148- Beautiful robot as always. Solid scorer, and a human player that just is an ace. Two half court supercells shots, should I say more?

And other great mentions that I enjoyed watching include- 20, 67, 190, 175, 1503, 188, 68, 79, 2056, 254/968 and 1771.

Please add in with others that stuck out to you and can't wait for 2010!
