[FTC]: Chain Break

Hello,

Today our team unpacked the sprockets and chain that we have ordered. We found that the chain break is to small for the chain to fit in the grooves, so what we did is dremeled them out so the chain fit perfectly into the grooves.

Our modification works great and its relatively simple to do. I will post a Diagram later of what we did exactly just so if anyone comes across this problem you will have a model to refer to.

If you have any questions feel free to message me.

I just our team's as well on Friday. Should I send the Chain Break back? I'm sure I can get one that fits from McMaster-Carr.

Re: [FTC]: Chain Break

I wouldn't send it back its an easy fix if you have a dremel, however if you don't have a dremel or some kind of tool like it the fix wont be the easiest fix in the world. It took me all of 5 minutes to fix ours to cut the chain.

Here is a diagram that may help, there will be a better diagram of what I did to the break once i can get my hands on it again on wednesday. If the diagram doesn't help message me and i will try to explain what i did.

I hope this helps

Andrew
