Over the weekend I got shirts from 148, 343, and 217. They all look great. A couple I had to cover up some names and .coms. I used patches and then spray painted to get the color to match. I am really happy with the results.

I think there are 2 more coming from 1311 and 27.

BTW - You can keep the 148 shirts. I know you were threatening to return them, but that is NOT necessary. Just be aware, you might find yourself getting bigger when wearing a shirt from Texas. You know how the saying goes...

Well it went great today and they had not problem with me wearing the shirts. I am going to try to wear 2 shirts a day the rest of the week. Today was a half day of filming.

Yes John, I felt even smart just trying on the shirt. Maybe I should save them for the last day.

Well are today was a really good day. They finally asked about the all the robotics shirts I have been wearing I have wore 6 in three days of filming so far. They wanted to know what it was about and why I do it. So they asked for me to bring in some of our robots for them to see. So we pushed it and brought 3 students 3 robots and Andy our teacher. They put a hidden microphone on Andy and filmed the students driving the robot and talking about it for about 2 hours with 2 cameras on them most of the time. They really got into it and integrated me coming off the build to talk to them and then going back on set. All the filming people loved it so I hope it makes the cut and gets integrated into the show but who knows.

Thanks all for your help. We finished filming last night. It should air in the spring. I did wear every shirt that I got.

Kevin was on the Television show "Motor City Motors". The epsiode was entitled 'flip car'.

If you want more details on the show I'm sure kevin will post more details. I'll let him know.

As Nick has said the show has already aired. I have only seen it off a laptop. One of our mentors tivo’d it and saved it to his laptop. It was played in the middle of the afternoon. I didn't even know when it was going to be on. I have not been able to find out if it is going to be played again. We are guessing that maybe the series got canceled? I did give them names of other FIRST mentors that I thought would have been good for the show. When I was filming they said they gotten approval for a second season but who knows.

I had a great time during the filming. I did end up wearing all the shirts on the show, but never got the chance to wear my own team’s shirt.

Some of the team members did get to be on TV also. I talked the producer into bringing some of the robots onto the set and they spent about 2 hours filming the students and the robots. So all in all there was quite a bit of FIRST exposure. The students ended up getting about a 30 second showing.

Hey Kevin,
Saw the show yesterday! What a great thing you did for teams and giving them exposure. Sorry for your loss on the show, it would have been great to see you guys finish the flip car.
