Play Breakaway this weekend!
Team 40 proudly announces the 4th annual MiniFRC competition happening this Sunday from 12-5pm!!
MiniFRC 2010 is Breakaway on a 1/3 scale. Test out your designs long before you have to ship - and see Breakaway played for the first time! The Details: Registration is FREE! You must bring at least one robot to attend the event. You can bring as many robots as you like! We primarily use the Vex system, but feel free to use materials not included in the Vex kit such as Lexan, cardboard, etc. The point is to prototype! The maximum robot dimensions are 9" x 13" x 20", and there is no weight limit. The cylinder recommendation is at 28". Game piece: Please substitute normal tennis balls for the soccer balls. These can be found at any sporting goods store and many large chains. When: 12 PM, Sunday Jan 17th. Matches will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Clearly, our team will not be able to attend. (the expence just to get there would be huge...
) However, will you be recording/telecasting some of the matches? If so, where are you going to put them? I would love to see what teams are thinking, and how a match will look.Thanks! |
