Linux version of WindRiver?
Does anyone know where I can obtain a version of WindRiver (with the FIRST patch) for Linux?
I have searched around but can't find one. I would also like the WPI libraries if anyone knows where those are for 2010 (wpi.edu only has versions up to 2008). |

Re: Linux version of WindRiver?
The source has been updated over the past two years, with the latest commit being 10 days ago. The problem is that they won't let me checkout a copy of the source, yet they will let me view the source.
EDIT: Apparently they released a zip of the sources here. Last edited by colinwarren : 01-16-2010 at 10:11 PM. |

Re: Linux version of WindRiver?
I have found on the Wind River web site where I can download evaluation versions of Wind River for Linux, but does anyone know which one to install?

Re: Linux version of WindRiver?
WindRiver Workbench is just a modified version of Eclipse, which runs natively on Linux. Unless you need to download the code to your robot directly from your machine, all you need to do is get the libraries and your compiler setup, which does not require the FIRST patch or WindRiver.

Re: Linux version of WindRiver?
Just thought of something:
Is it possible to use NetBeans to program C++? If I have the WPI libraries installed in NetBeans could I use that to write and deploy C++ code? I think NetBeans is based on Eclipse too. |

Re: Linux version of WindRiver?
There is no way you will get Windriver running on linux. It is a sham, but it is true. you could try a VM?
