Re: Ethernet Switch or Router on Robot?
1. You can connect any CUSTOM CIRCUIT to Ethernet port 2 on the cRIO. So as long as the switch meets this definition and can be powered from the power distribution block, then yes.
2. I don't know. |

Re: Ethernet Switch or Router on Robot?
Yes. You may power it from either a regular 20A 12V fuse, or you can power it from the 5V camera supply, depending on the required input voltage of the switch you want to use. It can't include any wireless features.
Yes, but it can only attach to the classmate's USB port or USB hub. The expectation is that teams would use a USB to wired Ethernet device to connect to the external dashboard computer's Ethernet adapter. |

Re: Ethernet Switch or Router on Robot?
I want to be able to connect somthing to the gaming adapter before the crio, not using port 2. So the gaming adapter, Crio, and another device can connect to the swicth.

That is not allowed by the rules.

Re: Ethernet Switch or Router on Robot?
Do you mean that you want to place something between the WGA600N or WET610N wireless bridge and the cRIO? If so, don't. <R53> states that nothing can go between those.

Re: Ethernet Switch or Router on Robot?
Ok, our team throw this idea out just a little bit before you posted the rule.
But i have a few more questions 1) Where can i find a Usb to Ethernet adapter 2) How can you speed up the Axis Camera A)The screen resolution is at the lowesr value B) The compression is turned off, turning it on makes it lage more C) It's running in it's on "thread" in the program |

Re: Ethernet Switch or Router on Robot?
No ideas on 1.
2: A:You can do that. It can run at three different resolutions, the default code has it at the middle one. B:I haven't fooled with the compression C:So what? The camera code takes a long time to execute, and running it in its own thread prevents its timing from interfering with the main loop. |
