3-axis Joystick

Has anyone used this Joystick yet with the 2010 FRC LabVIEW?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-014-_-Product

Is there a better 3-axis Joystick out there for a similar price?

Re: 3-axis Joystick

you can probably find a logitech 3 axis joystick at microcenter or whatever your local computer electronics store is and save on shipping.
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/ga...s/291&cl=us,en
we bought one the other day and the quality seems pretty good, although we have not yet hooked it up and tested it. also this joystick is made by the same company as the KOP joysticks are. Also if your going to use the joystick for mechanum drive, extra buttons are just going to be a nuisance for your driver but thats my opinion.

Does the FRC 2010 LabVIEW installation have built-in support for this joystick? Our programming team is brand-new this year and I don't want to throw too many curve balls at them.

Thanks.

Re: 3-axis Joystick

I know the Logitech 3D joystick works great. The thrustmaster one probably does, but I haven't tested it.

Any USB joystick that is either HID compliant or for which you have installed DirectInput drivers for will work with the Driver Station.

It's supported out of the box. It supports up to 6 axes on each joystick.

Re: 3-axis Joystick

I know that the Logitech 3D works great with LabView. Me and the other programmer on my team got it working great with the Holonomic Drive and the Mecanums.
