Cannot connect to cRIO

I finished configuring wireless and was able to navigate to both 10.xx.yy.1 and 10.xx.yy.4. At this point, I went back to download the Java code from Netbeans and the build failed when it tried to connect to 10.xx.yy.2, the cRIO. I was able to ping the router and the bridge, but not the cRIO. When I connected the Classmate to the cRIO directly and tried to ping 10.xx.y.2, it said "Unreachable Host". I went in to try to reimage the cRIO and it was not finding the cRIO. I went into the Driver Station and re-entered our team number, to see if that would reset the ip properly, but it still did not work. I changed the subnet mask from 255.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.0, but still nothing. I set the ip address back to 10.xx.y.10 (the driver station changed it to 10.xx.y.5), but still nothing. I'm totally at a loss for the cause of the problem, and any help would be much appreciated

Re: Cannot connect to cRIO

This can possibly can be caused by mismatching versions of the image on the cRIO and the FRC plugin used for Java development. We ran into this problem very early into the season and fixed it by reinstalling the entire FRC provided content as well as running the latest installer, and downloading the latest imaging version for the cRIO and re-imaging it. Sorry if you have already tried this but I hope this can help.

Re: Cannot connect to cRIO

This is a networking issue. First see if you can connect to it from a command line:

- ping 10.10.1.2
- ftp 10.10.1.2 (leave the user and password blank)

If both of those work then check that the windows firewall is turned
off.

If ping and ftp don't work, you can double check the networking setup
documentation, or try asking questions in a more general (non-Java) forum.

Good luck!
