Broken radio not replaceable
Hi. My team has a broken Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming Adapter
(WGA600N). This is the only radio allowed by the FIRST rules. However, Linksys stopped making this adapter in favor of the WET610N Dual-Band Wireless-N Ethernet Bridge. FIRST did not respond to emails asking whether or not the new model is acceptable. The FIRST replacements page isn't useful, either, because the website of where to buy replacement radios is out of stock permanently. Any ideas would be useful. Thanks =) -1072 |

Re: Broken radio not replaceable
The WET610n is widely available, either from most Best Buys or online. The best place would be the one that is the cheapest that gets it to you when you need it.

Re: Broken radio not replaceable
Is the configuration (IP addressing to your team number) of the "newer" radio the same as the "older" radio?

Re: Broken radio not replaceable
If you have last year's WGA600N, then the default address is 192.168.1.250
If you have a new WET610N, then the default address is 169.254.1.250 Otherwise, you setup the FRC IP address the same, e.g., 10.xx.yy.1 |

Re: Broken radio not replaceable
Thanks a lot! I was trying to use the old IP until I realized it might be a different set up...
Thanks again. |
