Do we have to use round pool noodles to make the bumpers or can we use a different type of shape?

Re: Bumpers?
I'm pretty sure that the rules say 2 1/2'' round pool noodles but i could be wrong.

Re: Bumpers?
This question was answered in the Q&A last week. Pool noodles can be of a mostly round cross section. Star and octagon shapes are the most available that also satisfy the rule and the Q&A.
With regard to <R07C> and Fig. 8-1: 1. May we use pool noodles with a non-round profile, but with a maximum cross-sectional width of approximately 2.5 inches? 2. Are pool noodles with central holes required? 2010FRC2505 Re: <R07C> Pool noodle type 1. Any pool noodle with an approximately round profile would be acceptable (e.g. there are pool noodles with octagonal and star-shaped profiles - these would be OK). 2. Pool noodles with central holes are preferred. But there is no rule that absolutely requires them. |
