Question Bagging bumpers?

Good day. I've been searching through Section 4 of the game manual (Robot Transportation) looking for the answer to this question:

Do we have to put the bumpers in the bag with the robot, or otherwise have them mounted to the robot, when we do the final lock-up for a "Bag and Tag" event?

I can't seem to come up with that answer. I know, in years past, we had to put the bumpers in the crate. Or, at least I think we had to. We always did...

Just unsure about the bumpers for this new "Bag and Tag" we're doing here in Pittsburgh this season. Anyone know for sure, or have found it in the manual somewhere? Perhaps I missed it?

Thank you.

Re: Bagging bumpers?

Have you looked at the Withholding Allowance? There are no restrictions as to what you can have as part of that. Note, however, that at up to 20 pounds per set, bumpers can eat that up pretty quickly. But whatever you can put in the bag gets in outside of that.

Re: Bagging bumpers?

We are going ahead and mount one set on the robot and just put the other in the bag with the robot. Problem will be with handling the robot in transportation with bumpers loss in the bag. You might want to ask Dave, he is the lead inspector in Pittsburgh that will sign off on your bag and tag form. We are also going to Pittsburgh and this is all new to us with the loss of the practice time and everything else this year.

Exclamation Re: Bagging bumpers?

Good call roborat. Dave is a great guy and we bounced a lot of things off him last season during the build. I will email him. Thanks!
