1918 NC Gears Week 5 Pictures
Team 1918 is sprinting toward the finish line (although it's never truly "finished") with a week left before it goes into the bag. It climbs, it turns on a dime, it does flips, it captures the ball anywhere in its wide mouth, it kicks the ball over a bump with the extra-wide foot. We're still working on the lift, cover plate, and decorations.
The kicker uses a linear motion "T-bar" plunger and a hinged flap. It is charged and triggered with a rotary crank. The drive mechanism also releases the mast (not installed yet) and powers the lift winch. We hope it all holds together. GO TEAMS! ![]() ![]() Last edited by Wayne TenBrink : 15-02-2010 at 12:21. |
