Unhappy cRIO problems

Before I start this thread I need to say that I do not know what forum to place it under... it might even fit under programing?..

When I turn the robot on the cRIO does not turn on as well. There is also a medium pitched buzzing sound coming from the robot that was not there before.
When the Ethernet cable is tethered to the driver station the light on the cRIO will come on for less than a second - then go off.
When a digital sidecar is plugged up into the cRIO NO lights are lit up.

Everything is wired correctly. Also, everything was working last Friday when I downloaded some code into it. I did not come to school Saturday- so I will ask my team if they changed anything...

Do we have a bad/dead cRIO?!??

Re: cRIO problems

Have you checked your battery level? Sounds like a low voltage lockout. Could also be a short - check your chassis for metallic debris.

That's my recommendation, along with the battery change. We had a short because of metal shavings that fell into the power distribution board. We used a shop vac and then a compressor to get them out.
