Polyethylene rigid sheeting

We are wondering if we can use some black polyethylene rigid sheeting in the construction of our robot. We already have received this sheeting but we are seeing if this falls in to the category of "other plastics".

This is not an official reply and I'm not sure you can be given one without 2 questions being answered:
Is it less than 1/4" thick and is it the same kind of material that is readily available to all teams at hardware stores, Home Depot stores...etc.? (as Appendix B of the rules dictates) If you can answer yes to both questions, you are OK to use it and you don't need an official answer.
The intent of the rule is to keep teams from having exclusive access to special materials that will give them a competitive advantage. Please let fairness be your guide and keep to the spirit of the rule.
