Watchdog question
hey, when we download our code to our robot using the newest updates on everything - dashboard, crio, etc - it runs fine except for one watchdog not fed error in between the teleoperated and autonomous mode. We have run the NI sample code on three different crios and two different dashboards all with the same error. Are there any watchdog errors that we can get that FIRST wont shut us down for? we talked to a NI representative and he said that the watchdog we get should not effect field performance or shut us down, but it did at the kettering district event last week. Are any other teams getting this error? Can i get a copy of a really simple labview program that runs on one of your crios just to test out?" thanks.

Re: Watchdog question
The default LabVIEW robot project will give a watchdog error every time Autonomous Independent runs to completion, as it only feeds the watchdog while it is running. This is not a problem; it is working as designed.
The Field Management System does not shut a robot down because of watchdog errors. If you lost the ability to control your robot, it was due to something else. Does the same thing happen if you run a "practice" sequence or if you just switch from Autonomous to Teleoperated using the Driver Station? |
