Robot Communication

Hello everyone,
Our team recently attended the Pittsburgh regional. Ever since we have returned home our robot will not communicate with our router. I remember them telling us something that we had to do but i cant remember what it was. If anyone can help us please post.
Thanks

Re: Robot Communication

Generally, they encrypt your radio so that their FMS can communicate with the robot. Your best bet would be to restore to factory default (insert a paperclip end into the reset area of the radio for 5 - 10 seconds) then reset the radio the way you need it.

If anyone knows a better way, i'd like to know, because I'm not even a big fan of this idea.

Re: Robot Communication

You need to reconfigure your radio to remove the encryption. You can either do it from scratch (hold reset, then reconfigure static IP to not use WPA), or log into it and set it to use no encryption.

I don't know if you have the WGA or the WRT, but directions for configuring both are here: http://usfirst.org/uploadedFiles/Com...ed-Rev-0.7.pdf (page 45ish, its in the ToC too).

To reconfigure without reset, just set your computer's IP to Static (and in my case) 10.04.69.(pick your favorite # 0<n<255) (the middle 2 #s are your team #, so 10.25.44 for the OP) and go to security (I think) and disable encryption.
