Solenoid & Motor Controlling

Hello all,

I'm a very novice user of labview (mech. eng. major so i usually avoid programming) so bear with me on the necessary information. I have been tasked with creating a VERY SIMPLE block diagram in order to control 1 motor (forward and reverse required) as well as 3 solenoids that will be fired at different times. I've looked over previous posts regarding solenoid control (which is what I'd trying to start with) and can honestly say I don't know where to begin.

Basically the project I'm working on has the motor driving a slider mechanism which passes above a substrate. During each pass of the 3-pass cycle a different solenoid needs to be open to spray our pressurized solution onto the surface of the substrate. The user will simply enter how many total cycles (3-passes per cycle) they desire, no graphs or data needs to be collected at all. Any guidance on how to get started, at the very least, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This forum is for the FIRST robotics competition (high school) and not a general robotics NI forum. I'm not sure that you will get the answers you seek here.
